Which leads to one question by the way, can anyone point out where it is said which way the carrier should be worn? I would love to know!

Can't find it in any of the manuals. Just says that you have to carry it, not how!

It doesn't say stick the end of it up your arse either but some of you might!!!!!

Period pictures are the way to go regarding the correct way to wear anything, and has been stated previous there will a few picks against the norm, just use some comman sence.

And that's what I wanted to know.

In Finnish army we have written rules on how to wear things, was wondering if Germans had the anything similar :)

It was called the Reibert manual wasn't it Franz as far as i know :?:

I think Morigi's used to sell repro's of these which had been translated,
can't find em on his site now, dunno if anybody else does these though ???
