Gasmask cans are DUST-tight, and not waterproof! Even with the D on the bottom . Some latewar cans feature a rubber ring in the lid wich áre waterproof.

Postwar canisters which are identical to wartime ones also sometimes feature the rubber ring, but no "D". I use a postwar canister.

Errrr, it was a joke.
Put a bottle in the gasmask tin AFTER you take the gaskmask out.
OK for private events, especially if its a nice schnapps bottle with a cork, but not in public.
