Green Feldflasche?

I've read that drinking out of a red feldflasche a bad idea because red paint is lead based. What about the green canteen bottle?

hmmm my dad drunk out of em and died of kidney failure
linked to solpadiene tablets

moral to that story is he didnt die of lead poisoning

my auntie died last year at the age of 94
she druunk out of red cups and played with lead painted toys

she died of old age

now it doesnt bother me at all what i drink out of

i could die tommorow of a block of ice falling from a plane wingtip

The moral of this story is that if your not happy with what you've got, sell it and get something that your happy with!

On a serious note, water bottles are made from aluminium... I've got two and drink from both after I cleaned them. So far, okay! Red paint on the inside of the bottles? I've not heard of this, Any one else want to add?

Not all water bottles are aluminium.
Some are painted steel, usually red or green.
