Salute Military Show

Post by comet »

The MVCI (Military Vehicle Club of Ireland) have been contacted by Media Team, the group organising the Salute Show near Dublin on 30th, 31st Aug and invited to display at the Show. Media Team have also informed us that all Military Vehicle, Re Enactment and Living History Groups are welcome to display. For more information log onto "www.salute.ie" and register with the organisers. The MVCI will also be supporting the long running and established PARDs Kinsale Event in Cork which is on the same weekend. http://www.mvci.org

KGK have also been contacted and we are considering this matter , and we will support unequivically the MVCI , the Pards and other quality Irish living history groups and their shows throughout the Island of Ireland , as a new dawn has risen in Ireland . :) KGK England are also considering the matter as well .

Gentlemen in relation to the Salute show , there seems to be some confusion as to who is running this show .
Media Team are NOT the organisers of this show , they are only the PR people .
This show is being run by the Irish Military Vehicle Group ( IMVG) and this is their annual show .
The person in charge of the military vehicle section is Sean Curtis and all bookings for this go through him , contact details , Tel no. 0035345441798 , email seanprotac@hotmail.com
The person in charge of the reenactment section is Lawrence Thermes , contact him on Tel no. 00353860760230 , email sligowildgeese@hotmail.com
.There is a website for this show , http://www.salute.ie which shows some pics from last years show .In the next 7 to 10 days there will be booking forms available from this site , so fill them in guys .
Just a note , this show is on the same weekend as the show in Kinsale , Co.Cork which I think is run by the Pards .So now
gentlemen you have plenty of notice and time to decide where you want to go .You are being spoilt with choices , ha ha .
Battlegroupsouth will be attending the Salute show and will be there in full force .

Lads
Battle group south have been asked to do the main battle in conjunction with Wargroup , Frontline and SGN .These will be the main groups doing the dispaly battle on Sunday and we are already in talks with sean curtis and laurence theermies as to the way we will run the dispaly .This promises to be a massive event and is going from strength to strentgth every year . We , BGS will be there in full strength this year as we have a large commitment to this event now .
