Reeanctment of Attack on Yugoslavia April 6, 1941 – Battle at Rupnik line

On April 28 2012 KZD Triglav re-enacted attack of German forces on Kingdom of Yugoslavia, as happened on April 6, 1941. We were lucky enough to obtain a permission to use two of original bunkers of so called Rupnik line, a Yugoslav version of French Linie Maginot.

For the first time we put together an infantry unit of the Royal Yugoslav Army and I believe we did a good job. With the help of our friends from Gardekorps (Prague), Karpathia (Bratislava), Feldgrau (Rome) , gruppe Augustin (Trieste) and few friends from Germany we made two decent battles for a about 5000 visitors who especially enjoyed the performance of famous Czech flamenwerfer. Thanks to all of you for joining us.

A special guest was Slovene Minister of Defense, who toke the rapport of both commanders, German and Yugoslav one.

It was sunny and very hot, but we had few drinks later.... Hopefully see you on battlefield in Ziri next year.

I believe we put togather the first and the only unit of Yugoslav Royal Army. I don't believe clubs from other countries are not ''interested'' in units which are not part of their own history or German ones (of course everybody's interest is Germany).
To my knowledge in other former Yugoslav parts (Croatia, Serbia etc) there is no trace of reenacment (maybe some small events which were not noticed at all)

Flamethrower, nice indeed and very atractive for public as well. Fortunately our safety regulations are most likely slightly less strict than in some other countries; but of course we had to report event to police in advance and made (so called) Security report, where we described all pyrotechnical material which will be used & was signed by person officially authorised for work with pyrotechnical material.

So far so good; see you next year on Rupnik line..... again.

Great pictures Guys :!: Love Yugoslavian 1930s uniforms .

Great flamethrower thing ... seen something like that on reenactment only once, later it was forbidden because of safety rules :D

We, our reenactment group KZD Triglav, are now famous in our country due to a documentary Vojne igre - Wargames:

By the way, our reenactments for known customers are mostly Allied vs Germans, but private ones are strictly Slovenian partisans vs Germans:

And of course our famous project with young director Žiga Virc, who also directed two of Vojsko trailers and Vojne igre documentary, student short film, academy student awards nominee, Trieste is ours!:
