History Club Triglav from Slovenia has for the 5th time organized witner battle at Vojsko plateau, 1060 m above sea level, to recreate German offensive against partisans 9th Corps in winter 44/45.

With our friends form Gardekorps (Prague), Feldgrau (Rome + Germany) and Kampfgruppe ''Augustin'' from Trieste, about 60 people altogether. In heavy winter condition (temperature bellow 11 0 Celsius, strong wind & snow) we spent nice weekend in beautiful landscape of Vojsko made two battles in two days; the last one was really nice with, especially Flamethrower from gardekorps made a special flavor. It was so cold than our MG42 had frozen and was useless, as well some k98 rifles didn't functioned. We got some impression how this would be eastern front.

I'm sure all participants enjoy it and we are looking already for 6th winter battle.
This battle was as well the last and final part of the documentary movie (55 min) about out Historic Club which is produced by national television of Slovenia. I was told film would be great; one small camera was even attached on the helmet of flamethrower man.

Some pics for impression of the conditions.
