Thanks for the link to the article Bee.

Baumholder was truely worth attending, not just for the battle-loving reenactor, but even for a civilian like me!
My personal highlight was the Saturday evening, where we gathered around the campfire of the "Windhunde". What a wonderful chance to entertain the soldier with a small repertoire of "Gassenhauer" ( slang for favourite songs in the 40`s). And what a big surprise to find someone joining me in singing "Bel Ami" and making it a duet. Ed ( yes PD, Eddie from Bochum  ) joined in and from there the "Fronttheater" made this evening a very memorable one.

Liebe Grüße,
Beate

Nice to see some postive press for a change. Especially there! That's a great step forward for re-enacting in Germany! :D

some good friends of battle group south were at this event :!: they can be seen in bee's article they are the hungarian troops and german troops as well, from what i heard it was a fantastic event :D with a bit of luck this should give re enacting the kick start it needs in Germany and maybe just maybe the authorities will give re enactors a break seeing how positive the show was :!:

Yes, the Hungarians were an "eye-catcher". I was very much impressed to see them, even more delighted to talk to them. Very nice folks!

By the way von Bock, met Patrick Stoll there too and mentioned your reference to his site in the vehicle section. You were right, definitely "the" address in Germany
