"Destination - inhuman land", 28 Frebruary 2010

Post by kiler »

Since Stalin was Hitler`s ally from 23 August 1939 (Riebentrop-Molotow pact) till almost first hours of 22 June 1941, I think this event can be put on Axis forum:

On 28th of February 2010 my group took part in an event titled: "Destination - inhuman land", depicting deportations od Polish citizens from soviet-occupied part of Poland to Siberia, which took place on 10th of February 1940. Me and my friends from Poland and Czech Republic were portraying NKWD soldiers. Original locomotive and wagons from 40`s were borrowed from museum. Civilians were played by amateur theaters from the whole country (about 500 people). Here is a short clip from this event:

At the beginning there is an original soviet propaganda movie from invasion of Poland in 1939, next we have scene of NKVD`s revision in Polish house, then the scenes with train at the railway station and at the end the alegoric scene "March of ghosts" with Polish oficers, policeman and others murdered by soviets in Katyn massacre.

Fantastic. Living History and Re-enactment - As Franz says - chilling. Illustrative and thought provoking. I applaud you.

If that was in black and white, it would look like original footage.
