Bunker by Night 2010 - Silkeborg Denmark

Post by KB Martinsen »

Just noticed that they're holding an event here on May 9th this year. This is actually the first modern reenactment/living history event I've ever seen advertised here in Denmark so I'll have to pay it a visit.

According to the website reenactors from Der Windhund in Holland will be attending. Anyone here from 'Der Windhund'?

Is anyone else from here attending?

http://www.silkeborgbunkermuseum.dk/bbn_09.htm (Sorry the link is in Danish)

Main website for the bunker (also in Danish)

http://www.silkeborgbunkermuseum.dk/

I can translate if required

Edited the thread title to bring it up to date.

Regards

FHF of Sweden and 'Regimentet' of Danmark are also attending. 'Regimentet' was also there last year.

Sounds good!

I've never heard of 'Regimentet', do you know if they have a website?

Sorry to dig up an old thread, even if it is one of my own, but I was at this event yesterday.

It wasn't bad at all, quite a few groups were represented, and there was a decent number of interesting period vehicles as well. One small minus though, was that some of the allied reenactors were 'colourful' to say the least (the 'Jock' in the wrinkled 'el cheapo' kilt, windproof smock, brown high leg boots and Glengarry, deserves a special mention here!).

Had a good chat with a few of the German reenactors from Panzerjägerabteilung 228, as well as a couple of Danes from a Sturmpionere group, it was all very 'hyggelig' as they say in these parts. I'll definitely be back again next year.

Did you miss our HQ display?
We were at 'Søvilla' with the General and his staff.

We aren't represented on these photos, but they give a good impression of the event as a whole:

No, I was there, but didn't get the chance to talk to you as you were busy with other visitors at the time. Your display looked pretty good from what I saw though.

To whom it may concern

I just want to make it clear to everyone, that the member of Allied Reenacted being discussed in this topic, no longer is a member of our group.

Allied Reenacted has written rules of display and behavior, which have been violated.
Allied Reenacted need the goodwill, to survive.
Thats why this member isnt a part of Allied Reenacted any more.

If you have further questions, feel free to contact us.

On behalf of Allied Reenacted

Hej Mikkel,
I didn't realise he was with your group, I thought he was with the WW2 Tommies. No need to throw him out of the group though, just tell him to get his act together.
