I've come across an event while searching the internet called 'The 2nd Armored in Europe' it sounds like a very big event was in the planning back in 2012. Does anybody on here know if such an event is planned or going ahead?
I would assume that if it was then with it being just 12 months away names details etc etc would stat to be gathered.
does anyone know anything about it?
thanks
John

Looking at the amount of views but no comments I assume that no-one know diddly squat about this or any other event planned for the 70th anniversary next year?
:o

I was under the impression it was to be somewhat invite only, and knobbers need not apply? Not that im suggesting the OP is a knob, just saying.

Hi.
I have to post this info to stop anyone getting excited over something that is still NOT set in stone and are not invited on.

This 2nd Armored 10 day trip is invite only...thats Yanks/French/Belgie/Cloggies/Czechs/Poles etc... and Brits..those who get invited are either long term members ('95) that have been on events in the past or those who get nominated be same...IE .. are not wankers.
We have learned not to take people without some back ground knowledge...this trip especially
has to be done correctly without any political fallout...if we pull this off other oppotunities in Europpe will follow...Mayors of other Departments will be looking at what we do and the French publics interest (which is great!)

We are looking for German axis forces...the permissions to do this in France and Belgium is still being sort..

The Allied side of it is OK we have 55 Americans alone coming shipping two Stuarts over......however having Axis troops moving through the French countryside with weaps is still a very hot topic and could fail at any moment...
Press + worried mayor = no way.

We have approached Nelz /FJR 2 and 6 the Gross Duetchland Arf-a-lung..thats it..
Paul you should disist in recruiting ...please.
There are European Axis forces that are also being recruited ...
The reason for this ....we want guys that we know..Pip Pk tacticals have given me good intel of the guys invited...and know that they can do public shows in a realistic manor

Regards Pete
