I think having reenactors act as security would be a lot better as they know how preciouse these things are and will take it more seriously...and on top of it having MPs and Feldgendarmes walking around as the actual security would be a lot better no?

Good luck with the truck! Although what I've had stolen from me is small in comparison, it still hurt, more the fact that it's the hobby you spend so much time on and sh*t still happens no matter how much work you spend on it.

The Bolster has been found in Warfield, all complete and in good condition apart from the shovel and jerry cans missing.
The owner got a call from an anonymous call from somebody saying it was parked up in Warfield, he went up there and there it was dumped on the road.
He drove it back so everything is running ok.
Thanks for all your help guys, please keep an eye out for the Gas firing 50cals and 30cal that are still missing.

Fantastic news. Now, fingerprint it, find out where they live and I will pop round and break their thieving legs with my size 15s.

Bad mood Geordie

Thats great, im glad that at least the truck was recovered thats one thing,
too bad about the missing gear though, it sounds like kids pissing about
otherwise you wouldn't have seen the truck again, this is the reason we
need better security or least someone who knows what he's doing !!!

Regards Pipes

glad its been recovered even with some missing bits, I agree with the idea of having reenactors providing atleast some security for events, using MP and FG reenactors, providing there up for it, as security even in a supporting function would be very valuable. I have just recently switched to doing an FG protrayal and at a recent event I decided to provide some assistant at the main entrance, we have other groups doing manouvers there and cars were coming in, I was able to effectivly dirrect the traffic and point people in the right direction, granted this was only a small event and we were not very busy, people were still very open to having a reenactor providing such a service in costume, I think the kit provides more of a visual deterant aswell, a vis vest that says security is about as scary as well a vis vest that says security, however 6 blokes dressed as either MP or FG make a far more imposing sight and would put people off more.
