FLY TO THE PAST Kidlington, Oxfordshire 2nd September

Post by Crazy Feldgendarme »

My advice to anyone thinking of attending this DONT cos guess who is running it. Yes thats right folks its Francis Rockliffe who many will remember from Blenheim in 2005.

See this thread

Some rules put in place at that event.

Rules told to folk when arriving - meant that

Vehicles put in car park - not to park on grass to unload
Camp in the camping area - not the display area
Cars not to park in camping area
No sleeping or cooking on the display
No cooking anywhere unless in a carravan
No long tent pegs to be used
Tiger not allowed off the trailer it arrived on
Staff to be condesending bastards at all times
Staff to have no idea where anything is going - just get it off the grass
Duke to be kept happy
No movement around the site - except for snotty cow in Smart car
No candles allowed on birthday cakes
Sherman to be parked on steep slope by lake in pouring rain
Crowd to be flooded through display area for better aircraft veiwing
No sighnage to be put up - less people might be able to find way in or way around.
Gates to be locked early - less re-enactors might escape
35 quid each for punters to get in
Burger vans to charge a fortune to people who arent allowed to cook
Public to be informed of how much of a pain it is dealing with re-enactors who think they can cook on national heritage land
No thanks whatsoever to be given to folks who put in three days work for free - just to be treeted like s**t.
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch.
