Me too. Looking forward to another cracking weekend with Neil and the troops! The group are really welcoming and I'd urge anyone to come along and meet the gang

Seeing as uncle Neil is currently in exile I thought it would be useful for attending reenactors to have the following information,

Well the book closes on Saturday 08:00.
No further applications after this date unfortunately.

Dress Code for Pioniere
The time scale is October 1943. No uniform or weapons issued after October 1943 are permitted.
Dress code is wool uniforms with camouflaged smock, belt, bayonet and pouches only. No Stug or Panzer uniforms, no camouflaged trousers. We are on a field training exercise. All equipment will be clean and in good order. All troops are to be cleanly shaved.

Dress Code for Feldgenarmerie
The time scale is October 1943. No uniform or weapons issued after October 1943 are permitted.
Dress code is wool uniforms, belt, bayonet and side arm only. No camouflaged uniforms permitted.
All equipment will be clean and in good order. All FG are to be cleanly shaved and smarter turned out than attending pioniere.

Weapons
No weapons are required, though NCO's and FG may wear a side arm.
Thats right boys, leave the hardware at home. You aint gonna need it!

Equipment
If any attending re-enactor has any of the following that they can bring please PM me:
MG42 Lafette
Radio Equipment (We have lots, but some more would be useful)
Ammo boxes and crates (he more the merrier)
Any Pioniere equipment (We have lots, but some more would be useful)

Any problems or clarifications contact me ASAP

Regards
Neil

Neil,

regarding kit and uniform stipulations for Levisham, you've said no StuG or Panzer uniforms or camouflage.

Where wil that leave the other re-enactors like Stefan who does U-Boot, the other German chap who portrays a Kregsmarine on leave, and Simon Todd who portrays Luftwaffe?

Answer:
Please read the previous mail again. "No cammo" only applies for feldgendarmarie.

The scenario involes Sturmpioniere being trained. There is no Panzer crew, Stug crew, pilots nor sailors historically elligable for training of this type.

Any luftwaffe or Kriegsmarine would naturally be on leave and not part of the scenario, however no Kriegsmarine re-enactors are booked in anyway.
Any Stug/panzer crew on leave wouldnt be in thier panzer blacks nor stug wraps, hence none are permitted.

Hope that clears that up!
