i used to do the pyro for this one ...
i did not know about the ban on ss
as you all know i have continuosely and tirelessly backed any ss unit at a show i work on

im not doing the pyro this year for eversham
im booked into another show ..

the decision to do the other show was due to another guy offering to do the pyro at eversham as we are verry busy this year for pyro

again it shows many mvt members and stall holders think that we the reenacting community are indeed members of the ss

yep
aggreed its their show ..and they have that right to ban units.

ammended untill this matter is sorted regarding the problems with mvt

Thank you Les, in my opinion, the public get a kick out of the bad boy Axis and the war was over 60 years ago, why don`t these organisers realise we are just re-enacting and not recruiting for the neo nazi party?
Before long they won`t want any German uniforms at their shows in case the PC brigade think it might be offensive. We do need to make a stand together afterall we do offer our spare time at no cost and the show make the money? This instance has upset me personally because we supported the show from the start and now its got successful they drop us like a not brick.

Axis units unite.

Unfortunately yet another example of the tail wagging the dog where a minority complains and gets their way! i bet that if 1000 people came through the gate and maybe twenty complained (if that) that still means that 980 did not! but the minority wins again? what ever happened to the majority getting the vote? if they gave you figures stating that 65% of the people complained i would take notice but i am sure it was a fart in space and generic mongs with uninteresting vehicles/uniforms/impressions have used this as an excuse to get their way, it also proves the mentality of these people where they blame reenactors for any crimes or deeds perpetrated by the original formations? MONGS!

Just had a call. It appears that this is a matter of confusion for the organiser.
He didnt mean W-SS, just "Allgemeine ASS" :D (even though both Pete, Dave and I explained previously) so it seems were now clear to attend.

Stig, might as well bag the whole thread now. It seems its not required.

Thank you to everyone who supported this situation. Waffen ss are now allowed to go so united we stand and we have a result.
Das Reich will be considering attending the event now.

Unfortunatly so Ive herd is that the show is now being backed by the mvt with a big hand out to run it as there National mvt show . Lots of confusion but one thing is that there will be alot of oldtimers there in uniform badge up as a general in the mvt .

Received application form today

Why NO SS

You have allowed SS groups before

Is this because it is stated the National MVT show

If so you are going to loss a lot of groups who have supported you in previous years and helped out with the battle.

Being a MVT member myself I have always found this policy a disgrace and i for one will not be attending if my SS re-enactor friends are banned
