take a step back in time…..multi period living history and military vehicle weekend.
Set in the wonderful grounds of CALDICOT CASTLE COUNTRY PARK
...Re-enactment/Living History groups, Military vehicles area, Main Arena,Catering area, Trade stands and Bar.

Camping available for Re-enactors/Traders/Military Vehicles from 3pm on 4th May till 10.30 am 8th May 2012
Set up day 5th May 2012
Show open to public 6th and 7th May 2012

No Allgemeine uniforms allowed on site
No BB Guns allowed on site.

Unless Booked in with Organisers or correct paperwork the Carrying of Weapons around and on Paying Entry to this Site is Strictly Prohibited

Walking Displays who PAY to entry the Show at the gate will not be allowed to entry the show with any form of WEAPON on there person

Applications accepted are at the discretion of the organisers.

The site meeting will be on Saturday the 17th March 2012 at 11am please gather at the drawbridge in front of castle

Had a wonderful meeting today with Caldicot Castle Staff

The Lady from Help for Heroes (Diana McCrea) attended and will be coming along on the 17th to the site meeting at 11am

Any questions please ask at meeting

We have the WW2 battling area confirmed and it looks good Soskan and hopefully Rolling Thunder will be using this area also
.
We also have the main arena which will be used by other re-enactment groups

We will hopefully beholding a fantasy battle on the Sunday and this will take place in the main arena between 4pm -5pm

On Monday we will be having a grand parade between 4pm-5pm for prize giving and for handing donations to Help for Heroes back in.

Before you Think of Hiring for the Battle You Must

Speak to Paul Sidney (Handsome) of The South Wales Borderers. No Norman Wisdoms on the day please. If you are not on his list and do not turn up for the battle briefing and get a pass you do not battle. Health and Safety will be followed to the letter.
All Group leaders’ old and New who have attended in the past need to do this

John Site Manager has ruled if we do not have PLI or risk ass. for your group on file or it is not submitted on the day then your group will be refused entry to the SHOW.

On Saturday night at 5pm anyone that wishes to take part in the FANTASY BATTLE on Sunday Please meet on the castle draw bridge with Big Paul (SWB)

On Saturday at 6pm all WW2 groups who have booked in with Paul ( Handsome SWB) to battle must attend a battle briefing if you do not attend, you do not battle. Please meet on Draw Bridge in front of castle

On Saturday night at 7.30pm ALL GROUPS are to send a rep to run through issues arising/arrangements for show days, meet on Draw Bridge

On Saturday at 7.30 ish pm we will be holding a kit sale for re-enactors/vehicle owners all that kit you have at the back of the shed that you do not want or do not use bring it along and have some extra beer money or buy something you want from a trader on site or donate it to HFH

AFRA are proud to be supporting the SWB and the Fortress Wales event at Caulicott Castle next weekend. We will be on site from Saturday and will have a pitch in the WW2 living history field. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about AFRA/memberships/joining etc and we will also be providing pyrotechnic support for the ww2 battles. Please feel free to come and say hi....we will be wearing AFRA shirts so will be easily recognisable....See you there.....
