Just like to say a personal massive thank you to everyone who has donated money on the Virginmoneygiving website. some of our fellow re-enactors have given some surprisingly large amounts of money and regardless if you give a little or a lot it all helps to make this event a success and gives the Legion money to invest to help our guys and gals in the armed forces.
One month to go so if you can spare a few quid it all helps.

Thank you all for your support, without you this would never happen.

Big favour!
To all the Brits, or those with Brit kit, going to the show, if yoiu have an old battling tunic, shirt or trews you can bring along as a spare I would be eternaly grateful.
We have some celebrities to kit up as POW's for a photoshoot and the more I borrow, and the less I buy means more money for the RBL.
It will last 30 minutes maximum and you have my word you will get it back in the same condition or replaced.

Bit embarrased to ask, but there we go!

we will be with you every step you take and we will go mad every time you score a goal i promise
i would join you all on the pitch but it is a sod trying to run in riding boots and spurs in full dress uniform and i dont think the ref would like the sword and baton on the pitch

Hi everyone, not long to go now.If you havent already, I just need names, contact details and car reg numbers for attendees. If you are staying at the Colchester TA centre on the saturday night I need your info asap. Thank you to all the re-enactors who have put themselves out to help, take part or donate to this worthwhile event. I`m expecting a hectic but fun day with a decent amount of money raised. Not too late to get involved we could still do with military vehicles and guards but I think we are good for players.

cheers Dave

Just a bit of a check list for the big day.......

Guards can wear either ss or heer wool tunics but we do not want camo of any sort or hbts. jackboots would be great but low boots are fine as well. Helmets no camo covers or paint jobs. webbing.. all you need is belt, y straps, ammo pouches and bayonet.
Anyone who is crashing at the TA centre, we are going out into colchester in uniform and football kit with the British Legion to hand out flyers and shake the bucket to get a few quid out of the unsuspecting public. This may happen saturday afternoon and possibly on the saturday evening. If you can get down early on the saturday please come out with us. Footballers might want a black pair of trainers if they want to wear the kit out in the town.

Lastly the postcode for the stadium is crap so if you find the A12 colchester to ipswich Road, ignore the colchester turn off and carry on towards ipswich, the next junction you will see the stadium from the A12. Its next to the hospital.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us with this event, I hope that we can make this match something that gives us all a sense of pride and puts our hobby in its true light. Great people who may be a little odd and only sometimes sober but some of the greatest people you could wish to meet.

See you on the field of battle

Glad to have you aboard the crazy train Les. If you want to crash at the TA centre I will need your car reg number. we have plenty of room still. What are John and Andy doing? I did send Andy a text but no reply as yet.
