yet another great weekend (3 days) at the gun powder mill, with good weather during the day but cold at night. WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO FINISH THE CANTEEN REFURBISHMENT? i heard a lot of grumbles about the lack of canteen facilites all weekend and it didnt help that some of the fast food traders taking the micky, "something" and chips £9.50, cheaper in the town, (sorry Les i know you cant be reposible for these people). Nice to see the Hurricane on Sunday and the Spitfire on the Monday.

on behalf of fg39-45 i would like to thank les and all those involved in the set up and the planning of the weekend and the battle

the whole weekend stayed nice and sunny with a nice bit of wind to keep us from getting to hot
the two battles where great to be a part of and hadeel did a fantastic job on my head wound makeup which had kids looking at me in horror on the monday

i would also like to thank kevin and all the lads on the u boat setup for asking me and allowing me to present the vice admiral with his well deserved knights cross after the saturday battle it was at great privilage to present it to a very hard working member of the reenactment community

once again thank you les for all the hard work you did behind the scenes and over the weekend another great gunpowder mills show

Superb show as always Les.

Big up to you and the team for the hard work.
Well worth the travel to this show, no matter where your coming from (nice to see "Florian Geyer" there from Germany)

What makes you think the canteen won't have similar prices once it's finished? Compared to what the Imperial War Museum charges for food £9.50 is practically a loss-leader

Many thanks to Les & Co. for putting on such a professional and enjoyable event. Your hard work is much appreciated.
