Great event all round. The whole village got behind the event, together with the Armour and Embarkation sister event in the same location it really was a pleasure.

SBG lads played a blinder in the battle, professional as ever, as did all the folk involved.

On the field there was a Sherman, a PAK37, FLAK 37, 3 x halftracks (whole platoon of US inf on board), jeeps, Dingo, a Seafire strafing the Axis trench, tanks and artillery from Armour and Embarkation firing onto the field from the surrounding hills, it was busy! Les will tell you exactly what he pyroed up on the hill. Everyone did their part perfectly and it showed, well done all.

This was a unique event where the organisation and welcoming support of the village was second to none, they love reenactors! They should feel rightfully proud and I believe they raised a goodly amount for HFH :D

Stunning event and we - Amour and Embarkation will be back in 2012 - with double the amount of tanks. The picture below is the hall at Marshaling Camp D6 - a Big Red 1 camp. Glenn Miller played here to the troops. We are looking at the idea of having John Millers (his newphew) Swing Band play here for Armour and Embarkation 2012...
