According to their site: 12/13 June

We'll be stopping off for a beer at the cafe on the way through - look out for British ski troops that look suspiciously like Afrika Korps (according to the public :D :D :D)

I wish to respectfully ask, those Allied re-enactors that are booked in at the Allied stations, or if your coming to the event in kit but not with your group, would you not please travel down to the Axis stations armed to the teeth.

Like the Allies, the German groups put a lot of hard work in over the weekend and nothing spoils it more than people getting off trains carrying so much hardware their arms are dragging along the floor.

Also if your doing a Military Police or civilian police impression and checking passes on trains when you get to the Axis stations, please stop as German troops will properly getting on to do the same, and from the publics point of view the two don’t mix.
For five years now the Leicester’s, ourselves and other booked groups have stuck to the unwritten rule of only going to enemy stations unarmed, but it is the small groups and individual ‘s that I’m asking to be more aware.

I do realize that we can’t do anything about the public that do this and they are completely ignored for the most part.
We are working very hard with the railway organizer and staff to try and stop people turning up and turning it into a circus.
This is why you won’t find any Allied dignitaries giving speeches at Axis stations this year.

This is a polite request.

Posting this on both forums.

Yes you could right Tom, However when you’ve organized as many events both public for your group and private as I have done, you learn to have a degree of tolerance, more importantly this event is hands on with the public, so different rules apply.
These events are meant to be enjoyed by all, not just those behind the rope.

When people buy their tickets at the Allied stations, the public normally have one desire, to get to the Bad guys end, and so do the individuals bristling with arms.

So Tom, enforcement, no, this is not a private event, and having to work with a great variety of groups and people, to ask, you ask with respect.
