GD Recon training weekend

Post by Walther »

Evening all,

GD Recon have spent an enjoyable training weekend at Ashdown Camp in Evesham this weekend (i'd recommend it to any group looking to hold a similar event for themselves).

Got quite a few pics snapped in-between things so I thought i'd share some of them.

Neil.

It is, I can really recommend it :)

Yeh, had a good time all in all, more importantly it was nice to see everyone again after a bit of a quiet spell events wise.

Ausgezeichnet!

Very realistic chaps and a quality group! I also like the swearing-in ceremony pic.

They really were the hardest ones to do as they had to be posed for - just glad we got a few taken that worked :)

Another view from round the other side....

That's brilliant! I don't ever recall seeing any other group do that, and with such realism... not in the UK at any rate.

You know - I'm gonna put it out there - I hope you did this - The piano in the corner - Even if no one could play and it was completely posed - The guys around it "singing" while one of them "plays" would have made an EXCELLENT Christmas card!!!!!!!

It would also have made a good Soldatenheim photoset..... So for you or anyone planning to use Ashdown again Bear it in mind - I'd love to see it.

I did think about it, but no one could play and everyone was getting bored of me trying to remember how to play chopsticks :)

Would make a cracking photo though - look forward to seeing someone getting it snapped.

having heard a lot of re-enactors attmept to sing over the years I wouldn't of thought bad piano playing would be out of place in a photo
