Hi,

I've just got home, I would like to thank firstly Les, for a great event (shame about the weather), and secondly the Gebirgsjager who aloud us to go into batlle with them and made us very welcome (especially the MG gunner). I would like to get in touch with you guys but I have no idea how....? And of course 'Do not eat ze shnails'. Last but definatley not least, Paul for allowing us to use his MG42 all the weekend.

All the best,
Rory

Hi Roderich, glad you enjoyed it. You can get hold of andy85th or jonboy 85th.
Shame about the weather but even Les can't sort that out, but we still had a great time. Looking forward to next years.

Got home late last night after a weekend of ups and downs.

The Downs first:
Weather. We had every season this weekend. Rain, hailstones, sunshine, wind, hot, cold
Technology failures. Phone and laptop ist kaput.
Injuries: Chris broke his ankle (playing football in the rain  )

Ups:
Everything else! :D

Great organisation from Les and his team. The guy is a total diamond and deserves lashings of praise for his continued efforts on our (the re-enactors) behalf.

Huge thanks to the Allied contingent for the terrific interactions (including fight club) on the battlefield.

Crowds were down this year due to the weather, but we had some good public interaction on the Monday, and a great time with the boat and scenario (photos to follow)

Nice to see Martain and his lad again. Been a long time.

Finally, to Stefan of “Der Fuhrer”. I remembered the girls name, it was Madeline Smith……………

On behalf of the U-Boat Society I'd like to thank Les and his team for their gargantuan efforts in putting on a very good show despite the poor weather conditions. Thanks also for the blood, sweat, effort and tears that you put into the event.

Despite the weather, everyone made the best of the situation and it was good to see old and new friends. Thanks again, Les, we'll look forward to seeing you again very soon.

on behalf of everyone in fg39-45 i would like to thank les for a great weekend as usall

a few things let it down a bit the weather (than can not be controlled) and a lack of toilets(that speaking to les was not his fault)

other than that a great time was had by all of us at this our first show of the season.

we all enjoyed the battles and had a laugh meeting up with everyone again and chewing the fat over everything and anything

look forward to seeing you all again

once again great show
