NYMR Railway 16th – 18th October 2009
Re: NYMR Railway 16th – 18th October 2009
I am so glad i wasn't the only one to trip over PDs wires. A very well organised show by Neil with four differant senarios to do, so you were on the go all day. The attack by N44 was good aswell.

Better late than never
A huge thank you from the Fallschirm Transvestites of FJR9 and the DRK nurses .
We thoroughly enjoyed setting up our dressing station and mending all those poor damaged troops and I echo Neil and PDs statements in that it was an absolute pleasure working with such excellant re-enactors and the hard-working and always smiling railway staff who made us all welcome .
The response from the public was always positive and even the weather smiled on us .
Counting down for next year .....

Stuff it.
I know I said that I wasnt naming names, but.........
Huge thanks to PD for not only running the combat area, but for the pyro effects and his contribution to the scenario concept with some great ideas.
Great showmanship in front of the public who lapped it up
Well done big man, well done

And now my turn....
Thanks to all those that made this gig possible, Neil - you`ve been asking me for the past 3 years & I finally made it.
What a cracker ! The hard work put by the team paid off. We acted as one unit which just goes to show. It was nice to act with so many faces old `n new as opposed to the regular seperate displays.
Those photos that I can find look amazing & testament to our willingness to follow scripts dreamed up over a year.
There was no battle as such, but the partisan sketches were well done. For those that missed them, It was the unseen enemy. I hope my being the casualty on the Saturday will long be remembered !
Well done all, thanks for the welcome & do we get to go next year

I forgot to mention that the event raised a few quid for charity.
The majority went to the NYMR "Wheels &Bridges" fund, but I handed over £250.00 tonight to Cleveland Search and rescue on behalf of the UK re-enactment community and the Levisham Staion Group.
Cleveland SAR are struggling to get the funds to repair thier building, so every bit helps.
Well done to all

Urrah Neil! Well done - I wonder what the tally was from other locations? No one can justify not having us there can they?
And Chris - yeah - Stu was there - he's just incredibly busy at work at the moment.

I think he needs to check his script though, he made reference to the 7.92 round fitting a revolver, yes Paul really, it was 7:09 into the clip........he he he
