The Brigde

This movie impressed the hell out of me for a indie/reenactors film. Any Thoughts?

Your link seems to be broken. If it's the post-war movie about a bunch of school boys/friends who are called up for their military service in the Wehrmacht towards the end of the war and have to defend a useless bridge to keep theme safe from the nearing battle and the Allies, then yes, I have seen it and I think it is an excellent movie. A must! It's based on a true story but forgotten due to the insignificance of it at the time of the war. The Bridge (Die Brücke) http://store.yahoo.com/ihf/dvd007.html

As far as I know it was actually semi-autobiographical, and the film-maker was one of the kids. Top film, really like the sequence when the retreating army shows up and then buggers off leaving a few teenagers to hold the position.

"Die Brücke" is a great movie, and a classic. But this one is actually a movie filmed by reenactors its a really good movie. Ill see if i can find it.

These are CHG reenactors from Southern California. 12th SS and 442nd guys. Hard to believe it's SoCal with how green it is. Like you said JK, not bad for a reenactor made movie.

Thought the yanks were a bit wooden, firing a Thompson, doing a forward somersault and then firing again.......no fear whatsoever on their faces!

The yanks moved like an LAPD S.W.A.T. team.

Tanks were amazing though, the exact same two tanks that got blown up at the start of the battle managed to somehow re-appear at the end..................same numbers and everything!
