Bag Identification

BAG IDENTIFICATION

I just picked this bag up yesterday could some one identify it and let me know what it is worth please, I recently picked up some other stuff gas masks/ oxygen masks and im placing these on as well on this thread , any help would be appreciated

Bag is WW2 pattern - but also used postwar - British Commando/Para bergen. SHOULD have dates and maker marks in it somewhere

Gas mask 1 is as per the markings, US issue - late 40's?
Gas masl 2 - looks like it may be a commercial/industrial one - but Brititsh. MAY be military, but not one I ever saw...

super thanks , it is a commando bergin cant see marks as yet but looking can I ask what price are these as I intend on selling it please

As with any kit - they're worth what someone will pay - though I did witness a WW2 one being dumped in a crusher at the end of a flea market one day: if I'd know what was about to happen I'd have grabbed it off him...thought he was taking it to his van, and as I was too far to get to him to stop what was happening I just had to witness it being squashed.

WW2 dates & the like all add to the desirability of things like these, as they had a long service life & were used for at least a couple of decades or so after the war.

There may be markings on the leather pad at the top/outside - you'll need to move the straps aside.

I'd also look on the big auction and web sites to see what the completed items sale prices are like.

thanks you are a mind of good information , im in no hurry to sell but looking approx. 50 for it , but open to offers as its in almost new condition and would add to a persons persona
