As the forum is taking an increasingly worldwide aspect, members from around the globe, where you are located becomes vital information?
There is no point in someone recommending a dealer or a museum in London or Liverpool if the person asking is in Lincoln, Nebraska.
If you fill out the location portion of your profile then such confusions can be avoided.
I understand that some folks might not want the world to know their exact home. For it to be helpful for the forum membership all we should need is 'UK', 'Europe', 'Asia' or 'USA' etc.
Just a thought.

Would indeed be useful to stop that sort of thing and potentially prevent some arguments as well
