Re: New PZ4
Very good indeed! How was this put together? If I'm not mistaken there are some original components in there...?

I so need one of those, cracking bit of work there. Really nice to see.
I am the bane of pointy stick forums, thrice banned for honesty, hater of internet re enactors ( you know, the ones that know everything but never do an event).
Re: New PZ4
Believe it or not, its made of plastic resin. Even the track links are cast in some special type of expensive resin ($40 per KG, so $60 per link). It is powered by a GMV6-71 detriot.
It is a steel body built to hold all the running gear, then resin panels are all fitted to the outside, along with all the other gubbings.
The next one of the assembly line is a tiger 1.
The main gun and MG are gas guns

Simply amazing!

The constructors are Weta workshops. This is another toy for Peter Jacksons collection that will be used in a war film being made here in NZ.Feld Kuche wrote:Very impressive, congratulations to the constructors.
BTW, there is also a full size replica of a Lancaster bomber here in NZ for another Jackson film. Then there are the 2 WW1 tanks he had built for his WW1 films, not to mention the fleet of airworthy WW1 planes he now has

Thats a replica Panther Paul, but not to the standard of the PZ4. The panther is built over an old car........................

Well knock me down with a feather! Lovely job - I actually convinced myself it was a more or less complete original hull with a repro turret!!Believe it or not, its made of plastic resin
Look forward to seeing others done this way. I'm guessing the tracks will not take being driven for a great many miles though? Must be quite light in weight too?

Amazing job!
I see WETA has been hard at work. No sign yet of the konigstiger for the Panzer 88 horror flick?

i hope they don't install the schurzen the concept art shows. that would be just plain wrong.
