OK, now I really must have one of these watches. That looks just simply outstanding!

Close enough to the top to have a chance at getting one before my supply of watch hands runs out.

I've just been advised from Switzerland that
a: there's a minimum 6-8 week backlog on parts, and
b: the price has gone up considerably due to the strong Swiss Franc.

Lovely... :x

I just received mine & it looks great! Really professionally presented and finished.
It even arrived set to the correct local time, a nice touch.
Well done!

sounds good to me - I appreciate good quality even more than fast delivery
Koobleguy's going to be happy to see this at long last...
After repeated attempts this is the least-lumpy I can get the lumed numbers.
If anyone asks it's in the manner of an in-service repaired watch, complete with a battered surface (sadly there are a couple of flaws in the dial itself, which may or may not "add character" depending on your view).

[Photo removed at new owner's request.]

In other news, here's a couple of snaps of one of the Kriegsmarine-style watches after three months resting.
As there hasn't been much interest in this style I probably won't be making any more for some time.

I've got five of the Type-I DH-style dials on the workbench at the moment, as a supply of hands unexpectedly arrived on Friday, so I should be able to clear most of the production backlog over the next few days. :)

All the best,
PB

Hi,

here we go: Paul's work right next to an original - take a look!

the (small) differences can also be seen between various originals due to different manufacturers

@Paul: the old style clock hands with the thin "needle tip" aren't available any more, right?

from my point of view: EXCELLENT WORK! highly appreciated - thanks again! :)

Cheers Bo,

Glad it arrived safely. :)

I've been unable to find a reliable source of the needle-point hands that are a: the correct sizes and b: don't look awful.
It's not a design often used these days I'm afraid.

All the best,
PB
(heading back out to the workshop to make some more dials while the sun is shining... ;))

I have just seen these watches for the first time and they look great. Are you still taking orders for them because I would definite like to get one?
