Dot 44 on the Eastern Front,

Hi there all you forum dwellers :lol:

Could anyone help with a little question, were SS units on the eastern fron issued dot 44 in large qauntites?

And if anyone has any pictorial eveidence it would be great to see.

Good sir the 14th Galician Division had a lot of Dot 44 here is another unit using dot 44 the photo and original text below it came from my unit web site

This are photo's from the Sturmbrigade Langemarck (Flemish volunteers) taken at Knowitz september 1944, after the training period there they were send again to the eastern front.

Members of the Nachrichten and Pionier Bat. of the (from December 44 on) 27. SS Freiw.Gren.Division Langemarck where also issued with the Getarnter Drillichanzug, during the winter period it was often worn over the woolen tunics.

Yes , you are right Sean .Those are a set of collar patches on the dot tunic.

Soldat = Singular, Soldaten = Plural ;) Common error. :)
