Helmets

Post by Herr Taff »

I see that sellers on ebay refer to some german helmets as Norwegian army reissue.
Will these helmets have modifications to change their appearance? would they be accepatable for reenactment?
They appear to be simply liner and strap changes.?

They are generally OK for the shell - rip out the liner and strip the paint off. Get a new paint job and repro liner and they are not too bad. They can be OK for those on a very tight budget as a camo cover can be used and the liner isn't seen when being worn. Unconverted ones, however, are really up there with the Swedish uniforms etc. these days (in my opinion anyhow!).

Just my 0.02p worth - it will depend on the kit standards/requirements of the group to be honest!
