Surely regardless of time frame, justice should always prevail?

He was young once, and knew exactly what he was doing.

there is no proof of him killing people he just was apart of the group.

does that mean those men of the waffen-SS are war criminals because of a few within the waffen-ss did?

because he belonged to a group doesn't mean he did any thing

But where is the line drawn, should only those directly involved be prosecuted? Evidence has been presented in a court of law implicating the individual and the prosecution was succesful.

With regards the entire Waffen SS being classed as war criminals post war, that has nothing to do with this topic.

ok point taken there

but if ya want to pick straws
then lets go on about the volunteer prison guards

the ones who loved to torture
and whip and kill.

lets not go down the road of denial

hes been found guilty
then he should do the sentence ..if it means dying inside then ok

the thing i hate about him is the fact even in his last years he is making out he is ill
before his last trial he faked his ilness ..if he was innocent then why fake it
ive spoken to some really nice ex ss and ex heer guys ....and they all come accross as proud guys ....and honoury guys too.
but do in fact find the prison guard thing a bit hard to come to terms with

From everything I've heard and read most wounded soldiers are keen to get back to their units so as not to let their mates down.

AFAIK voluntary transfer of an SS Mann from a camp to a combat unit was both quick and easy. Those who worked in those places wanted to work there. It's an easy gig. Call me old fashioned but anyone who prefers butchering civilians over shooting at people who can shoot back frankly deserve all they get. I don't give a shit if they're 90 or 19.

Where's the like button? - This analogy translates to a much wider context than the SS - B&H is careful not to label the SS but to make the comparison as a generalisation...... Sadists and murderers come in a variety of uniforms.....
