Personally I take these random diggings as broking the gravepeace IF it don't have anything else point than "let's find some stuff yeeaaa!!!11!"... Soldiers earned their peace and it should be respect.

Of course, if the main causes of those diggings are bringing those fallen soldiers back to homelands soil I'm totally behind that.

These men died so they could live the life they could today, yet they piss on them by diging them up and taking there gear.

I don't know what they are going to do with the bones and gear, but I hope that they can atleast find out who they used to be, so it would be one lest "forgoten" Soldier

Grave robbing
mind you...as long as the remains of the fallen are re-interred and marked...no-one seems to have any reservations about older war remains...TV programmes tell you they do....but.....do they really????
Those remains found from WW1...What really happens to them????
Many are dug up by plough or other means...many of these other means are people trying to make a quick quid out of what they find...///////not all "archeologists" have a social conscience....
Tp many its a quick road to riches and fame....never mind the poor sods that died ...regardless of the flag they died under.
Soldiers obey orders
Bitter twisted old men give those orders.
My view.
put he old twisted men together in a field....arm the lot of them
then say "off you pop then lads"
wars would soon be a thing of the past and the flower of a generation need not sacrifice itself for the vanity and misgivings of a few old men .....thereby leaving very little for the vultures to pour over
Please....leave the war dead where they fell.....
None died a "clean painless death"...lets not desecrate that or there last resting places
unless there is no alternative
I agree...agriculture must go on...but thats not the issue....
the issue is essentially grave robbing
If the relatives of these desecrators were there...would they dig?...no i doubt it
A sunken ship is classed as a war grave.....battlefields of less than 200 years should be given the same respect

The fact that there are photos at all would suggest that this is an official 'Otryad' search group.

There are strict controls these days in Russia about battlefield digging so any 'black' diggers who were souly out scavenging for financial gain wouldn't want to flag up attention by making photos.

Good to know! Sometimes the photos & videos look more like just scavenging.
