I think this topic is (nearly ) better than the original - I still have ALL the Bauhaus albums on vinyl - Most of the singles some on 12" and I had a bike jacket on which I painted the Bela Cover.....

Murphy was indeed the singer - I followed the band on several tours and.......... no - I can't admit it....... Oh go on then - I was a Murphy lookalike in my twenties!!!!!!!! THERE - I DID IT - I'm FREE NOW!

The most prominent Bauhaus Building in Berlin is probably the shell-haus. The architect was Emil Fahrenkamp.

There is one opposite the Opera House in Berlin too.

Cor must be a "fun" time in both your households at Christmas ! I suppose it saves money for prezzies each year Have you never experienced the joy of buying a Christmas Mince pie in Tescos mid October that is Best Before the end of November? The Third Reich was not completely anti christian though, here is another interesting article.

Hitler was anti religion and anti Christian , he did say that after the war he would "Settle with religion and the churches" - had 3rd Reich survived Christianity would have been removed from German or would have been so changed that it would have been little more than another control mechanism of the party.
The intrusion of the party into the "festive season" was a good move and was typical of the control and influence which was being infused into German society at all levels.
