Insignia Question

Recently, I was asked if insignia was ever attached to the Windbluse or the Windjacke. I answered that I had not seen many original photos with either the Windbluse or the Windjacke with the edelweiss or other insignia.

Am I just missing them, or am I correct that it was rare for either to bear insignia?

I have also seen extant examples, but I cannot remember ever seeing them in period photos.
