For me, I prefer the tan 2-pocket anorak with the zipper neck. Remember that Project Edelweiss is a summertime event...thus a tan anorak would be more appropriate to use. The white anorak is great for winter, but the tan version gets by the other three seasons.

Servus Bergkameraden,

Here's an original 2-pocket Windbluse (Anorak) that I recently received in the mail. It's made from a tan canvas sailcloth material with 2 breast pockets, 2 lower slash pockets, and a full length zipper. There is an internal waist drawstring, hood with drawstring, and seems to have had a drawstring on the bottom hem. Also, the Windbluse has an internal crotch strap (similar to the strap on the 3-pocket Windbluse) for high winds. The wrists use to have a flap and button system to tighten around that area. There is also a RBNr. stamped on the inside of the hood near the zipper.

This Windbluse seems to be the same or similar to the one in these photos:

Second Jäger on the left is wearing it.

I think this one will be the type to reproduce. What do you guys think?

Yeah, I saw that one...it's a standard 3-pocket Windbluse(anorak) that has had the middle pocket removed...you can see the old stitching where the middle pocket was.

Horrido!
