For 2009 the JRA is becoming, bigger, better and bolder

The group portrays the fighting men of the Imperial Japanese Army from the Far East to the Pacific. The group is made up of a small number of dedicated reenactors who advocate quality over quantity and has managed to get recognition from across the globe in the fairly short time its been established.

The JRA's provisional calender for 2009 stands as

Saipan private battle (final date TBC)

Waltham Abbey VE day show May 2nd 3rd 4th

Detling August 29th 20th 31st

Victory show September 5th 6th

The JRA is proud to be a member of WARS. Visit our forum for more details http://z13.invisionfree.com/IJA_Reenacting

For sheer courage, persistence and above all accuracy the JRA, small though it is, just has to be viewed as one of the top groups in the UK.

Looking forward to Waltham!

The JRA had its first show of the year at Waltham abbey last weekend. The response from the public on the new look JRA was very good. Our next event is the Saipan battle next weekend, the first of its kind in Europe. If anyone else is interested in joining us this year send me a PM

Where do you get your Uniforms from, I have not seen any Japanese repro items(could be because I haven't been looking). or do you have to get Original items?

Originally all our repro items came from a company in Japan called Nakata, but recently the chinese have been producing alot of stuff for less, check out the vendor list in the japanese section

All change for this year, the group is now under the control of Steve Holden who most would have seen portraying the officer in the group. The reason for the change is mainly down to the fact that i have grown totally sick and tired of the whole hobby and have moved away to try other things, first of which is to totally destroy my Jaguar on a banger track, seems like a much better use of my time than sitting in a cold field :D Been fun guys, at times
