We have a new recruit to bring into the fold at this event, and are always on the lookout for guys who have the attitude to undertake this hobby to as authentic a degree as possible.

Well, PFRGD thoroughly enjoyed attending "Blasts From The Past", the multi-period event in Romsey, Hants last w/e. Although a small turnout of nine Fuesiliere, I believe the display created more than punched our weight and appeared to be well received by fellow re-enactors and public alike. It was good to welcome Fuesilier Osterwald into the fold and finish this years relatively short public season on a high. Thanks to all the men who contributed to an excellent team effort.

It was also nice to see some former friends in WW2LHA, and us being able to show them how to dig properly! Clearly life is esier on the western front!

Our pictures from the 'War and Peace Show' and 'Blasts from the Past' events are now online.

The first scenarios is set in May 1944 after the battles at Targul Frumos with GD awaiting a rest and refit. The second scenario is set in southern Latvia around the towns of Dolben and Mitau.

Just a heads up to say that one of our men, Obergefreiter Henken, has shown exemplary dedication in scratchbuilding a Kubelwagen to compliment the unit impression. It has been to two events this year, with the hope that it will be a regular attendee in 2011.

The unit has been kindly invited to attend one more public event this year, and is currently preparing our impression in anticpation of this. Further details when they are available.

Over the weekend some members attended Waltham Abbey Gunpowder Mills, we had an excellent time and have some photos too.
