The gallery of pics from our training weekend is now uploaded to our website, to see them please go to:
http://www.gdrecon.co.uk/galleries/training/index.htm
And with that the 2009 offensive draws to a close for the group. Good to meet up with a few of you over the season, look forward to attending some great shows and working with more of you in 2010.
As ever, we are always on the look out for new members to swell our ranks, so if you fancy a portrayal of the Landser on the Eastern front, please get in touch.
Cheers,
Neil.

Evening all,
This weekend saw the group get out and make the most of the weather and get some pictures snapped in the snow at our usual training ground. As we turned up it was belting down, but by the time we got round to starting the pictures it had all stopped
Still there was plenty of the white stuff around providing an excellent backdrop for our 'Ostfront 41-42' themed photoshoot.
More to follow as I get them, but for starters....
Well done to Herr Tauber for humping the lafette round for 4 hours - no wonder he looked so miserable
Neil.

Morning all,
Over the Easter break i've been working on updating the uniforms section of our website. There are more to add as I work through them, but you can see the work so far at:
http://www.gdrecon.co.uk/uniform.html
As I was putting the pictures together, I put these 2 together for contrast. Even though the basic kit remains correct for the rank, the change of look and style of the uniform in 2 / 3 years is quite a jump
Neil.

Last weekend saw the group head way down South to the Bovington Tankfest. Our display this year was based on troops waiting in their forward positions pre Kursk, July 1943.
Thankfully, this lent itself to getting up plenty of shelter and shade from temperatures that got up to 30 degrees on Sunday More pics as I get through them, but for starters...

I'm stunned by the photos in your last photo, you could fool someone! Was it an original camera or just well edited?
Also, great articles on your site, really professional!

Danke Herr Kauer,
No, all the pics are taken by people on their digital cameras. The light helped us out as it was so bright which burned the pictures out alot and gave them the silvery quality.
Other than that, I finish them in Photoshop.
Neil.
