Well, "Das Reich" first official public show, RGM is almost upon us.

We have three seperate displays for the show, supported by and in support of, our sister group FRAU.

The "Soldatenheim" is back, bigger and better than last year. Call in for a cuppa and a warm welcome during the day and a beer and a chat after hours (Teesside two step optional :D )

"Belgrade" A small vignette displaying Klingenberg's 7 man unit as it crosses the Danube prior to it capturing the city in April 1941.
The display features a fully operational and original German pioneer assault boat.

"A brief respite" The bulk of the unit will be displaying a forward element paused during its advance. Cleaning equipment, training and patrolling.

We are still actively recruiting, so call in, say hello and meet some of the friendliest re-enactors out there

Rod, thanks for the kind words. You are most welcome any time my friend.
The guys benefited from your input and attitude. Sorry I didnt get the opportunity to say goodbye!

Les, it is always an honour and a pleasure to support you my friend.
Anytime, anywhere.
Well done providing a great show regardless of the weather and "other" obsticals being put in your way.

Battle was very good this year and was happy to help.
Loved the "handbags" with the Yanks, especially laying one out on the Saturday :D

The "Belgrade" vignette worked well, as did the boat once we got air in it. :D
We slipped up a little on the kit, being 1941, but we were short handed Monday and what with the previous days weather, I had to let standards slip to accomodate. (Example being one lads wools were so wet he wore HBT's, and anothers jacks got wrecked so he wore ankle boots)

All in all the lads did very well, with the "Soldatenheim" crew working wonders over the weekend.
As always, humbled and honoured by the commitment my lads and lasses pile in to the hobby.
Great bunch.

Oh we do funny so well!!!!!! Some of us Unintentionally!

Neil - Soldatenheim is Wunderbar! I hope this time people contributed sufficiently to cover costs and put some in club funds. Lou, Karin and the guys pulled out all the stops and fed people, ensure hot drinks kept the chill out and generally looked after folks. It is MUCH Appreciated.
As for the Belgrade Gruppe - What can I say. These old eyes have gazed on some sights I can tell you and that Assault Boat was impressive.

Shame about the cold and wet - but when there is good company to be had - it doesn't matter.

And of course who could forget the evenings? I haven't sat with Nellie and Edna and talked as much piffle since the old days when Dear Dougie Preece was with us.... add a smattering of Stig into the mix and hilarity abounds. I have finally worked it out
