I wish you all success in your new venture, remember it takes time for any group to get going.
Website looks good,my only criticism is in the uniforms section you have featured a dot44 cap  I know there may have been field made versions but by and large they did not exist.
Anyway best of luck.

Cheers gents :D

Thanks John for the heads up, will remove the Dot44 cap from the inventory, even though as
you say they did exist in the "field made" version, as you say it takes time to get a group
going, seeing i was in "exile" i thought i would start my own up lol lol

Thanks again for the encouragement Bill

Good luck, a brave move.
Good work so far on the website, a good read even this early.
The photos of the guys in Heer style tunics with French flags on the right arm are something I'd not seen before. Do you have a story for those chaps.

Hi Stig :)
They are members of the early Wehrmacht LVF Unit, later this was disbanded along with the
8th SS Sturmbrigade, the remnants/survivors were algamated to the 33rd Charlemagne
Division, the outline of the Unit history is explained on the website.

Thanks for your intrest, regards Pipes

Bon :D
Cheers Gary!!
As i said earlier i was in limbo for a while and thought where do i go from here?, the only logical answer was to form a group
myself, there was no way i was going to give up the hobby and this was the only way i could see of continuing it lol.

As i haven't run a group before obviously i will make mistakes, im not saying i won't so any constructive criticism will be
taken on board without any offence taken by me, as i say i want to get this right.

There was one question, a list of the people who run the events would come in handy especially Detling and Beltring as i
would imagine i would have to submit my group name etc for permission and admittance to shows :?: (obviously this would
be for next year now!)

Good luck, Pipes. It's an interesting unit to choose, because probably 95% of the public wouldn't even know that there were French, Dutch, Danish, etc, who fought for the Third Reich, so it'll hopefully be an education for them. :)

Cheers mate :D
Thats what i thought, apart from the odd isolated portrayal or "beer tent" uniform you don't
see this type of "Foreign volunteer Unit" in the UK, apart from Andy from the 85th's excellent
"Handschar Day" portrayal.

Whether i get other members or not isn't a problem because when everything is sorted and all
being well i will be going to events thats the main thing lol.
TBH iam most surprised and pleased by the reaction, i imagined i would've been torn apart like
normally

Thanks for the encouragement, regards Pipes

I remember I`ve read about soldiers from Charlemagne in a Polish book about fighting in 1945 in Kołobrzeg (Kolberg). I don`t remember this part exactly, but it was something about POW from this division and how lucky they were to be captured by Poles and not by Russians. When I find the book I`ll try to write more.

Good luck anyway.
