Das Reich Spain.

Post by Max »

Hello Kameraden:

We are a group based in Spain, we portray soldiers from the 1. / I / “Deutschland”, we try to portray the typical WSS soldier around 1941-43, we choose this impression because almost everyone here is doing West front 44 and we think it’s interesting to portray something different. The group was founded in September 2007 with four members.

We are a little group as we want to keep our size small, so our unit is a Gruppe sized one, actually we are eight members and our number can grow up to a maximum of twelve, membership it’s on invitation basis only. We are from very different parts of the country and have to travel lots of kilometres to reunite the group (500 Km. in my case).

We centre our activities mainly in unit training, using original manuals to try to be as accurate as possible in the orders, unit movements, equipment and uniformity. We don’t discard to attend to public events but we found more fun in learning in the training weekends. We are trying to learn basic German, sing some songs and of course give the orders in German, also hand signals, proper deployments etc.

We are working on a web page that it’s still not finished, as soon as we open it I post the link.

Here is the link to a video showing some of the things we do during the Training Weekends, I think it was already posted by one of our members somewhere on this forum.

Hallo Wilhelm, I hope you and your “Schiessbecher” are ready for our next meeting with Iván.

Hallo, Hola to UK Das Reich and Paul; it could be great if some day we can meet and work together. By the way, at Finland we were in the same tent with Jock, a great guy, he is performing as Feldgendarme in the Das Reich. Does he belong to your group?

Cheers.

Max.
