Legioen Nederland

Post by FrwlegNL Ostuf »

Hello re-enactors,

Last year we established a new club which depict the Dutch Waffen SS volunteer. Our base is in the Netherlands
although, many Dutch re-enactors (strangely enough especially the Wehrmacht re-enactors) believe that this can not and should not be portrayed.
We find that this representation also belongs in WWII re-enactment.
People who are interested in membership can apply via our website.

We look forward to meeting you at events in Europe.

It cannot, but should be portrayed.

(TRANSLATION: my Dutch writing is not so good, so I will write in English.....)

Please keep your comments in English in this area, so that other readers can understand and follow your opinions,
however, we have no problem with you writing Dutch in the German corner, as your language will be tolerated there.

There was a German cadre in every "Legion" unit.

I also have the option from the group to continue to portray the British Free Corps.

Anyway, I will be working close with the "Legioen Nederland" and supporting them in the UK scene etc.

Tot Ziens, Willem

I would just like to add that this section "YOUR REENACTMENT GROUP" is a recruiting platform for recruits.
What it is not is for other Dutch reenactors to put doubts in the minds of Dutch speaking new recruits.

Cheers, Bill.

No one has yet commented on the positioning of the two Schilden on the arms of the Fwllgn. in the last picture - Well done - examples of where the shields would and could be worn.

Small touches making a difference.
