Each bag is handmade by myself with 100% Linen fabric and 100% Cotton Herringbone Twill 1/4 inch tape exact to an original. I have made a small stock of these and currently have enough material to make 20 bags. The Zwiebackbeutel was a small pouch where the German soldier carried his ration of Zwieback (a form of "hard tack"). Every soldier had one of these issued and they were noted as "property" in many Soldbucher.
