Good point Les, all too easy to get wrapped up in one's own world at Christmas, so it would be nice for people to quickly look in on any vets they may know in their area. I'm sure they'd be very glad of the company.

We invited vets into our mess last week (including two Chelsea Pensioners). Was great to chat over a pint, and I know they enjoy the event. God, can some of those fellows still drink!

I completely agree! Returning home to Germany for Xmas and will be looking after my Uncle, who is a Waffen-SS vet. People forget the vets. from all countries, these guys fought for our countries, whatever nationality we all are.
