stolen kit

Post by Scott »

The WW11 re enactment group FELDGENDARMERIE 39/45, who portray German Military Police and attached other units, at most major shows, have had their Ford Transit van N374 BOM sign written on side tugwell heating containing most of their display equipment, stolen from London Road Essex on or about Thursday 1st October. Many items were original war time dated German kit including a horse saddle with saddle bags, a large wicker basket, 3 large oil drums, the type used for refuelling Panzers and Gerry Cans etcetera. Repro items included two road 'stop' barriers, tables & chairs, a field grey transceiver, ropes boxes and much other display paraphernalia.
Anyone with any information about our van and its contents please call Feldgendarmerie 39/45's adjutant (john bush ) on 01277 203114 or Essex police

Sorry to hear this ...although more than likely the van was stolen for some other job/purpose so you may be lucky and the stuff gets dumped and reported to the police....

Unlikely the maggots that took it would know what the stuff is worth or how to get rid of it and you never know the ****ers may be thick enough to list it on ebay as a "job lot of old stuff " ..

perhaps the mods can make this a sticky so we can remember to keep an eye out ?

Bad news Scott! The Arschlochen were probably after a van load of tools or a copper boiler or two - Sorry to hear of the theft. Will place this on the AFRA news page and will also put it wider on other forums.

As many people as possible need informing then perhaps if this stuff is offered to good honest folk they can have the Old Bill waiting when the scum come to collect their dosh.

Best of luck and hope you get it all back intact.

Regards

nothing from the police at all, they say they have the details and will look out for it but not to hold out any hope.
after a month or so now does not seem as if we are going to get any of the stuff back, but we are looking forward and not getting down as a group and intend to get replacement bits as we can and make the group better.
