Is this a daft question but does anyone portray this group in reenactment or are they considered a no go area because they have been classed as traitors to there country ?

Don`t have a go at Sheikh Al Stranghi, I told him that BFC was not allowed in the UK,
When we met last Saturday.

What I was trying to imply was that BFC would cause problems in the UK,
even nasty punch-ups in beer tents etc. I have already been informed
by several reenactors that they would turn violent if I turned up in a BFC
uniform! I have never felt comfortable with the idea of wearing the insignia
in the UK. The only country where I felt at home with the impression was Flanders.

Anyway, I am joining Sheikh Al Stranghi`s unit in the Nederlands soon,
so I will be Wehrmacht once more..... still in Feldgrau though

Bit surprised by that Bill, as I've seen British reenactors doing the old BFC number as evening get up. The only hassle they got was being dragged on the dance floor by the ladies. Must go with the territory?
I'm surprised to hear that another reenactor would threaten violence over a portrayal.

What was more of a surprise, he was a Waffen-SS reenactor!
He was at Ashby this year. He is not from Das Reich.

From what I`ve read on the subject, this seems to be what they spent most of their time doing in real life!

Can`t understand why anyone would what to give hassle to another re enactor, unless their goose stepping round the place or something. To my mind the least offensive SS to do, would be the BFC, as they didn`t really do anything, and certainly didn`t assist the Nazi war effort, apart from the moral of local German girls that is.

I don`t believe its illegal to portray the BFC in the UK, but I do believe a very dim view is taken on anyone wearing Nazi uniforms in public, and by that I mean on a trip down the shops or something, I think you`ll be okey at a show....I mean look at Prince Harry, and his little fupar....enough said there I think

It is possible that someone has got mixed up with the UK law banning political uniforms that was bought in as a result of Mosley and his black shirts.
