Snow suits

Post by John Wilson »

Can anybody help with info on snow suits? Not the blanket lined heavy reversible stuff but the light cotton over trousers and smocks.
I 've got one that was used in the film Hannibal and the seller said it was probably based on a German or Russian one, I've looked about on the 'net and several books but I've yet to find a picture of it. :?

Lots of thankings for the pics me old friend, the last one seems to be about the closest to it but the thing I've got hasn't got the pleated pockets, only purposely made slits around the same area, also it's got mittens which are permanantly attached.

Yeah, I have a Swedish one that sounds about right to what you describe john...Does it have three crowns stamped inside the neck area?

Thanks for helping chaps, there's no stamps or markings anywhere, the guy I got it from said it was made as a film prop.
These pics aren't great which is why I didn't post them first round but they might help a bit?

Yep, I'd say so too. The Swedish ones are long- like a FJ smock length.
