best early war heer litzen?

Post by Panzer Wittman »

Being an ss reenactor, heer collar litzen still causes me a bit of head scratching. I'm putting together an early war m36 for occasional heer portrayal.
While I'm happy with the difference between early and late war litzen types, I'd be most appreciative if any of the heer bods would post links to what they consider the best available generic early war enlisted man's litzen. ATF maybe? Many times the pics on sites don't match up what arrives or turn out to be wholly incorrect materials. I'll happily go original too bit most I see are officers tabs, not enlisted mens.
Cheers in advance.

Howdy
Here's a pair that are similar to some I bought,
in my humble opinion look more authentic than
the embroidered other early type you see around,
as you can see they have been mounted on the
early War green backing and are £9.95 from
Epic Militaria. (see pic below)
Good hunting, Pipes ;-)

Very nice Jim, Wittmann was looking for generic collar tabs but seeing from his
text he wishes to portray Heer and nothing specific either set would be suitable

The ones Peiper posted are a fantasy item, 'backed' generic mouse grey tabs hmm. For early war, as opposed to pre-war like the send pair posted, you want the generic 1938 pattern tabs. I use originals, but McFarthingbowls in Belgium is a site I'd recommend for Litzen.

This is a pair with backing for M36, also often seen without:

Fair play Viktor ;-)
The litzen I posted I assumed they had been
"aged" not mouse grey but the ones you
posted seem more correct, well spotted
