the new 'at the front' woollen m42 & 43 tunics

Post by fieldgrey »

I notice from the scant pics on their website that ATF's new M42 and M43 field tunics DONT have chest darts...am i right!? And if so WHY? Surely these are a minimum requirement detail...and if true a terrible downsize, in my opinion
Which repro maker from the east makes such stuff? Certainly not Gavin...

Ok...ill double check the pics...

Ive just checked ALL the pics...only the M36 clearly shows chest darts...please check!
m40 m42 and m43 show no clear sign of this essential tailoring feature....take a look!
If this is not true id have made a point to show them off...reinactors are features/detail-led hobbyists...as it stands not having hard photographic proof of chest darts on these much trumpeted tunics tends to stall my reach for the 'pay now' option here.

I believe the ATF ones do, however Janke doesn't even bother with them and all the fanboys seem to flock to him for his overpriced tunics...

I've seen them in person, all of the new uniforms have chest darts. Even the SS ones.

Good to know....site pics dont show this.
i guess once anyone actually buys one, showing it off here would be very helpful. Long sizes due next year so they say...

Will do!
it looks like potentially THE range to go for...m42s cheaper than panther...if only theyd also take the plunge and do olive brown M44 sets too..if they can do M36 green, then surely they can do the brown.

and then why not the dark blue HEER pe kit top and trousers!?

Because they won't sell enough to make it viable?

Perhaps...but i dont believe so. It all comes down to one thing....vision.
schuster has it.
vision and absolute accuracy.
if we hammer on enough about these gaps in the kit, eventually someone will pull their finger out.
