Hi guys, I know this subject isn't German or WW2 but I need help with verifying a pair of boots.
I bought a pair of boots of eBay a while ago and they were listed as German so I bought them. They needed a re-sole so I took them to a cobler on my camp to get re-soled. He told me that they weren't German but a british pair from the turn of the century and worth around £600! He knows what he's talking about as he's a 13th generation cobler! If any of you know anything on this topic please PM me your email address so I can send you a picture of them as I can't upload photos from my phone.
Cheers guys, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Regards

Joel

Try posting the pics on the Great War Forum. They will be able to give chapter and verse on boots, nails and the like.
600 beans seems unlikely, but you never know...

If they are a rare pattern and in good condition no price for First War stuff would surprise me, especially with the 100th anniversary coming up next year.

The old and bold here will remember a time when WW1 stuff had very little value and a WW2 Battledress had more value than an 02 Service Dress Tunic.

The picture is probably too big.

Resize to 800x600 but before anyone makes the comment, this is not realy the forum to discuss British WW1 Boots on.
