Best Tunic on the mart.. on a budget..

Post by Töpfer1922 »

Hi guys,
I'm pretty new to German stuff,
what happens to be the best tunics on the market on a budget.. I'm looking into Epic Militaria Sturm M40/M43s and Gavin M40/42/43s...
I'm a bit wary of Gavin... very far over seas and don't want to loose the tunic if I were to buy one!
Sturm ones look a bit iffy on the cut but are inshore from Epic... I have no idea!!
Help me,
cheers
Topsy

Ok, I know everyone thinks badly of Chinese made stuff, but Aviator2046 on eBay has some well made stuff...actually the officer's tunic I got from him is the best I've seen (honestly! He paid attention to all the details with the marks, cut and the wool is thick and good quality) might be I just get lucky, but so far I have always been happy with his Tunics. Pants are good, but I prefer other sellers.

But if you want a top quality tunic, custom made to your fit, go to Schuster militaria and you'll get a way better tunic than Sturm for the same price with excellent service.

...I did, still got no jacket or trousers from him... and that was a fair few months ago.. he has the trousers which i don't doubt him on, seeing as i've payed for the trousers, but he promised a tunic which i would pay for when he got one in, and i still haven't heard anything from him.. :/ i understand he has a life outside of reenactment, and has a family etc, but kind of takes the water works when he doesn't reply to messages, nothing against him at all, just wish i could get the uniform :(

Well Aviator2046 aka Gavin militaria makes a god budget tunic. If your are handy with a needle and tread you can get them almost perfect.

Quite long. If I remember correctly it's about 3-4 weeks to Denmark from China.

Ah thanks.. sounds about right. I think my friend bought a set from Gavin, took about 5 weeks. Time to start saving!

My stuff from spearhead took about a week to arrive, the wool stuff I'm not fond of but gabardine items are good, the breeches are the best I ever bought and fit me perfectly (I'm one of thos tall skiny guys who has a hard to find something a small waistband) it really depends...sometimes you get lucky with China and sometimes not.

But Schuster...you always get lucky!

With Schuster.ru, how do you order? I've tried in the past but have received no response. I wanted the German swim shorts for my "artilleryman in bootyshorts and a Stahlhelm" impression. Also, mittens.
